JOB SUMMARY:

You will be responsible for accurately picking, loading and unloading trucks in a timely manner, and operate a forklift within the warehouse and cold box. You must be an ambitious and hardworking professional who does not mind working in hot or cold conditions and can work an entire shift on his or her feet and/or in and out of a delivery vehicle. You will be also be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, all with an exceptional attitude!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Pick, wrap, palletize and stage orders
• Load orders onto delivery vehicles
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, hand truck
• Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods
• Code date rotation
• Assist with cycle counts as required
• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
• Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes
• Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher
• Unload goods as per client specifications
• Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs and obtain delivery confirmations from each customer or supplier
• Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a valid driver’s license (NO Commercial Driver License necessary)
• Must have a clean driving record
• May be asked to work weekends, special events or holidays
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are a must
• Superior customer service skills and service driven
• Friendly, positive and professional disposition when dealing with clients and team members
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, follow-up and work in a fast pace environment under pressure
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to frequently lift and carry weights of up to 175 lb. at varying frequencies
• Ability to operate various types of machinery to include, but not limited to fork lifts, lift trucks, hand trucks, etc.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
