About the Role: The Head of Stores is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the overall strategy and operational excellence of our physical retail locations. It will report directly to the CEO. This individual will drive the success of our stores by ensuring a seamless and exceptional customer experience that embodies our brand's mission and value. You will lead the store management teams, manage store P&Ls, and be the primary owner of our brick-and-mortar growth strategy. This role will be a critical bridge between our e-commerce business and our physical retail presence, working closely with the marketing, operations, and product teams to create a unified brand experience.
About CADDIS: Caddis is a mission disguised as eyewear. We are a lifestyle brand for the age awesome, celebrating those who live their life to the fullest at every age. We operate in 50 states and have global reach, with 7 physical retail locations, an e-commerce site, and over 200+ wholesale and marketplace accounts. We offer prescription glasses, sunglasses, and readers, and are quickly expanding into new categories. Caddis is for people who are not in the long process of giving up. It has everything to do with age, and nothing to do with your job, your gender, or whether you live in Orange County or Hazzard County. It has to do with being who you are and owning it.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retail Strategy: Develop and execute the short- and long-term retail strategy, including new store openings, location planning, and market analysis. The retail strategy will include developing profitable and brand building new store concepts, an expanding our overall retail footprint.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of store operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and profitability. This includes inventory management, visual merchandising, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate store managers to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service. You are responsible for hiring, training, and retaining top talent for our retail teams.
- Financial Performance: Manage the profit and loss (P&L) for each store, analyzing sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for growth and optimization and achieve store channel sales, gross margin, and EBITDA targets
- Communication: Ensure that all initiatives, promotions, strategies, and brand building opportunities are cascaded to all store teams in a quick and effective manner. Translate central visual merchandising plans to each physical location.
- Customer Experience: Champion a brand-first customer experience in every store. Ensure the physical space, staff knowledge, and service quality reflect our brand's premium positioning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the marketing team on in-store campaigns and promotions, the operations team on supply chain and fulfillment, and the product team to provide market feedback.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a retail leadership role, with a track record of successfully managing multiple stores.
- Strong business acumen with experience in P&L management and financial analysis.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- A passion for brand-building and creating memorable customer experiences.
- Ability to travel frequently within the United States
- Experience in the eyewear or a similar fashion/accessories retail sector is a plus.
