Location: NYHQ (Monday-Thursday in office)
Compensation: $110,000-$140,000.00
The Copy Director leads the development and execution of Bubble’s brand voice, shaping compelling, high-impact copy across all channels - including campaigns, digital, packaging, social, and paid media - to drive sales, brand loyalty, and cultural relevance. This role blends strategic thinking, creative leadership, and deep expertise in beauty/skincare/wellness, working closely with Marketing, Design, Product, and Operations to translate product benefits into persuasive, consumer-first storytelling.
The ideal candidate is a strong conceptual thinker, inspiring team leader, and hands-on writer who ensures brand consistency while continuously evolving Bubble’s voice through insights, performance data, and cultural trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Voice & Storytelling
- Own, define, and evolve Bubble’s brand voice, tone, personality and storytelling across all consumer touchpoints.
- Establish clear frameworks and documentation to ensure consistent, on-brand storytelling at scale.
Content Strategy & Execution
- Oversee copy for campaigns, product naming, product descriptions, website content, social media, packaging, email, and paid media.
- Ensure all copy is clear, compelling, consumer-focused, and aligned with business goals.
Campaign Concepting
- Generate big-idea concepts, narratives, and messaging frameworks for seasonal campaigns and new product launches.
- Partner closely with Design and Marketing to bring campaigns to life across channels.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of copywriters, setting creative direction and ensuring high-quality, on-brand output.
- Manage daily copy deliverables, workflows, and process improvements to support a fast-growing brand.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing, Design, Product, and Creative Operations to align on launches, timelines, and integrated campaigns.
- Translate product features and insights into benefit-driven, consumer-friendly messaging.
Performance & Optimization
- Leverage performance data, testing, and consumer insights to refine messaging and improve engagement and conversion.
- Continuously optimize copy based on channel performance and evolving audience needs.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience leading brand voice and copywriting within the beauty, skincare, or wellness industry.
- Demonstrated success managing and mentoring copy teams.
- Deep understanding of skincare, beauty consumers, trends, and market dynamics.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong conceptual mindset.
- Strategic thinker able to translate business objectives into compelling creative.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, social media, and performance metrics; comfortable using data to inform creative decisions.
- Confident presenter and collaborator, able to articulate ideas clearly to cross-functional partners.
